Got a Big Idea for Rhode Island? Share Your Recommendations with Governor-elect Helena Foulkes at helenatransition.com

Nov 5, 2026

PROVIDENCE – The transition team of Governor-elect Helena Buonanno Foulkes has launched a website for Rhode Islanders to share ideas, express interest in public service, and to serve as a resource for news and plans for the Governor-elect’s incoming administration, at helenatransition.com

The site includes a way for residents, business owners, students, state employees, and all community members to directly bring their ideas to the transition team, with an emphasis on problems that could be fixed quickly by state government. Direct feedback from residents is encouraged and invited so that Rhode Islanders can share their ideas and the transition team and incoming staff can identify problems that can be solved starting on day one.

The transition team is looking for people who want to help deliver results for Rhode Island. Whether you’re an experienced public servant, a professional ready to bring your skills to state government, or a first-time applicant who wants to give back, you’re invited to submit your resume and experience through the site. Anyone interested in public service, including with a state agency or board, is invited to apply.

“Rhode Islanders know what’s working, what isn’t, and what could be better. Whether you have a big idea or a simple fix, I want to hear it. We’re building a team to get results for Rhode Island, and the more we hear from people across our state, the better our plans for 2027 and beyond can be,” said Governor-elect Foulkes.

Leadership staff has also been named for the transition, including executive director Caitlin Molina; deputy director RJ Kermes; senior advisor Jon Romano; communications director Jon Carvalho; and public engagement liaisons Elisabeth Wales and Anthony Aquino. A full transition committee, along with key leadership and staff to support the process, will be announced in the coming days.
